Posted September 03, 2008 07:37:47In its first major overhaul in more than a decade, Hyundai Motor Australia has added a “Optimize” sticker to the front of the Kia Sportage, a hatchback which debuted in 2008 and has seen several cosmetic upgrades since then.
The new Kia logo and the slogan “Optimize” were also added.
The redesigned hatchback is one of two vehicles introduced in 2008 by Hyundai and features a more modern design with a new exterior that has been enhanced with “Opti-Optimism” paintwork.
The “Optimal” slogan is part of the company’s “Vision 2020” strategy, which seeks to reduce carbon emissions and improve the environment by 2030.
“We’re seeing a lot of change in the industry,” Hyundai’s global vice president for product and innovation, Andrew Wilson, told reporters.
This will definitely be the new look of the Optima hatchback.””
The Opti-optimism paint job will be very visible in our vehicles, in the exterior, and hopefully we’ll see that in the next few years.”
This will definitely be the new look of the Optima hatchback.
“The new Kias are the first cars to receive a new “Optima” paint job, which has been developed by Kia’s Optimized paint department.
The new paint scheme was designed to match the Kias unique look and will include new colours and patterns for the rear windows and the roof.
Kia also introduced a “Mint” paint scheme on the Kiosk, which will also feature a “Kia Opti” bumper and “Optimo-Opti” grille.”
It’s very important to us that we have a consistent colour palette in our cars,” Mr Wilson said.”
That’s why we’ve put a lot into creating a consistent look in every one of our vehicles.
“We’ve seen a lot in the last few years with the new Nissan GT-R, a lot with the Toyota Prius and now with the Hyundai Optima.”
With the Optimistic paint job in the Opti, we are able to give our customers the best possible experience with the best paint in the market.
“Kia has also introduced the “Opto-Optimo” badge, which was developed to commemorate the company in 2020.
The badge is a combination of the logo of Kia Australia and the Optimo logo, a design language that was developed for Hyundai’s flagship car.”
Kiehl Kiees Optimo brand, which is based in Singapore, is also seen on the Optimal and Optimo badge on the rear fenders of the 2017 Hyundai A-Type.”
This badge is the first in the brand, and is part and parcel of what we do.”

Mr Wilson said the new Kies new logo was designed in collaboration with a team of designers.
“A lot of them are local designers and we wanted to do something that’s not just about making a car, it’s about the people and the community who are driving them,” he said.
The car was introduced at the Adelaide Motor Show in September 2008.
The Optimistically paintwork is also visible on the exterior of the Hyundai A3 hatchback.
Kia is expected to introduce a new hatchback in the Australian market later this year.
